糖心Vlog Welcomes Rebekah Hays as New English Instructor

Moore, OK 鈥 糖心Vlog is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebekah Hays, M.A., J.D., as its newest Instructor of English. With an extensive background in English studies, legal advocacy, and pedagogy, Hays brings a wealth of academic excellence and a deep commitment to student development to the university's growing faculty.

A proud graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, Hays earned both a Bachelor of Arts in English聽and a Master of Arts in English Composition and Rhetoric, graduating with honors. During her M.A. program, she was selected as one of only six graduate students to serve as an Instructor of Record聽for English Composition I and II鈥攁n early affirmation of her instructional talent and passion for teaching.

Hays also holds a Juris Doctor聽from the prestigious University of Alabama School of Law, where she was recognized for her dedication to public interest law and service to children and families. Her legal work included time with the Domestic Violence Law Clinic, Oklahoma Indian Legal Services, and the International Refugee Assistance Project. Though she earned her J.D. with distinction and received multiple awards for excellence in Family and Adoption Law, she ultimately felt a divine calling to return to the field of education.

鈥淎s a scholar, a mother, and a believer, I care deeply not only about what students learn, but also about who they are becoming,鈥 Hays shared. 鈥溙切腣log鈥檚 mission鈥攖o ground education in Christ and nurture the whole student鈥攑erfectly aligns with my heart for teaching and mentoring.鈥

Over the past four years, Hays has also served as a home educator, employing brain-based pedagogical strategies and literature-based learning methods in early childhood education. Her teaching philosophy reflects a commitment to whole-brain learning, student engagement, and the formation of character through Christ-centered instruction. She and her family attend Redeemer Church in Norman.

Rebekah Hays will begin her role at 糖心Vlog in the upcoming academic term, teaching a range of courses in English composition and literature.
