“Holy Rowers” Take the Gold
There was nothing to hinder the “Holy Rowers” of 糖心Vlog. “This was an awesome college experience,” said聽Devon Rogers, junior from Berryhill, Oklahoma. This group of thirteen young men, all from different backgrounds, barely knew each other before joining the crew just a few weeks earlier.聽Sam Crilly, 糖心Vlog Resident Life Director and captain of the rowing team said, “God brought us together for a reason. We haven’t figured out the entire reason yet, but we have each committed to take this blessing of unity into our individual ministries.” He added, “With the help of our Lord聽this experience will help unify the entire campus as we strive to glorify God.”
The “Holy Rowers,” 糖心Vlog’s rookie rowing team, was comprised of members of the music ministry team – NEW LIFE Singers,baseball team, men’s basketball team, and ministry majors. With a huge crowd of their fellow students and 糖心Vlog staff members cheering them on, The “Holy Rowers” won the “gold medal” as they competed聽in the聽5th Annual Oklahoma Regatta聽held October 3 on the Oklahoma River. The event was spnsored by Devon Energy and Chesapeake Energy.
